Details: PC based, H.264 hardware compressed real-time DVRs with 8, 16, 24, 32 or 40 video and audio input channels. All systems have Microsoft Windows XP Pro installed. A system recovery CD is provided with each DVR. Minimum hard disk size is 250GB. A DVD-RW/CD-RW drive is provided for video back-up. The same remote Client software as for R Series Embedded DVRs and RVS Series Video Servers allows recorded or live video to be accessed from all three types of devices on the same remote PC.

Recording Time: Using H.264 hardware compression, 30fps per camera at CIF (352x240) resolution, continuous recording, recording quality set to medium, each camera will record approximately 5GB per day (Total recording per day per DVR: RP/08 = 40GB; RP/16 = 80GB; RP/24 = 120GB; RP/32 = 160GB; RP/40 = 200GB).
Plug cables into DVR, plug cameras into cables, turn system on and your ready.

Shipping included in North America.

PC-Based Systems - RP/08, RP/16, RP/24, RP/32, RP/40

Upgradeable Systems
The RP/08 can be upgraded to RP/16, the RP/16 to the RP/24, and the RP/32 to the RP/40 by the addition of 8 Port A/V input boards. No software upgrade is necessary. The boards are plug and play.

Video Resolution
Camera images can be displayed and recorded in a choice of full D1 (704x480), DCIF (528x320) or CIF (352x240). Different camera images can have different resolutions although any that are to be run at full D1 resolution at full 30fps recording speed must be defined on installation.

Email Functions
The software can be set to send an email with snapshot on alarm (motion detected). Alarm signal inputs for up to 16 devices and outputs for up to 8 devices can be connected using the R-I/O box.

Alarm Functions
Multiple alarm devices can be linked to any number of cameras (from 1 to all) and multiple cameras can be linked to any number of alarm devices (from 1 to all). In addition, alarm inputs can be associated with PTZ camera presets and alarms can be set to play a sound file for an audible warning. Alarms can be set in groups and configured into an activation schedule.

Digital Map Functions
A digital map of the surveilled area can be imported and the positions of all cameras and alarm devices shown on the map with icons. On alarm (or motion detection) the map will automatically pop-up with the triggered alarm device and/or camera flashing. By double-clicking a flashing camera icon, the video from that camera is displayed on screen.

Video Exporting
Video clips can be selected and exported to a folder, then burned to a CD along with the supplied player. The exported video on the CD can be played in any Windows PC right from the CD, without the need to install either the video or any software on the playing PC.

Differing Recording and Remote Transmission Quality and Frame Size
Remotely transmitted live video can have a different resolution and compression to recorded video, allowing maximum quality recordings (low compression, high resolution) and lower resolution, higher compression transmitted frames, for maximum remote video speed.

Recording Playback
The log files of recorded video clips can be sorted and accessed by year/date/time. Video recordings can be played back while current recording is taking place. Recordings can be played back at normal speeds, higher speeds, slower speeds or frame by frame. Because of the nature of hardware compression and decompression, recordings can be played back by individual camera or with a maximum 16 security cameras at a time. In multi-camera playback mode, any camera can be chosen for playback in any window and all playbacks can be “time aligned”. Switching from multi-camera to single-camera playback is as simple as clicking on a particular camera window while playback is operational. Video clips can be selected and exported. Individual frames can be captured from live video or on video playback.
